This year Thanksgiving weekend was spent spending time with family.  While the trees haven't changed color yet due to unseasonably warm weather, it was great for enjoyable time outdoors.     As Kate Bueckert, from CBC News  points out there are many fun things to do this Thanksgiving long weekend in addition to the neighborhood parties and family get together that filled our weekend. 

We were able to get out to the Waterloo Octoberfest Thankgiving Day Parade this weekend so here are some highlights from the event.   The Parade is getting smaller it seems - hopefully some of the local tech giants like Google , OpenText , Desire2Learn and Blackberry can help keep this alive for the thousands of people who line the parade route each year.
